Tara Brach

Tara Brach, Ph.D is an internationally known meditation teacher, psychologist and author of bestselling Radical Acceptance (2003) and Radical Compassion (2020.)  

She offers a popular weekly podcast that is downloaded over 2.8 million times a month, and along with colleague Jack Kornfield, leads a meditation teacher training serving participants from 49 countries.   tarabrach.com

Scott Brickman

Scott has been practicing meditation for over 10 years and founded The Conscious Leadership Forums in the Washington D.C. area (www.conscious.is).  He has been trained in the Hoffman Process (www.hoffmaninstitute.org) and The Sedona Method (www.sedona.com).  Scott has participated in week-long silent retreats and has spoken on Mindfulness in business at the Maharishi University (www.mum.edu).  He sits on the Board of The Insight Meditation Community of Washington (www.imcw.org).  

Scott is Managing Director of Long Grove Capital and the former CEO of the Brickman Group.  He is a senior advisor to Kohlberg & Company and a partner in Monumental Sports.  Scott sits on the boards of Catholic Charities, The Don Bosco Cristo Rey School, The Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation and Neediest Kids.

Steve Hills

Steve Hills has had a long-standing interest in finding balance in life and helping others do the same. Since leading The Washington Post to become “The Most Innovative Media Company in the World” according to Fast Company in his final year as President and General Manager at the Post, Steve created HillsScape Consulting, which specializes in helping organizations and executives achieve peak performance in the face of disruption. He also serves as Founding Director of the Business Law Scholars Program at Georgetown University where he is a visiting professor. Steve is a founding member of “Transformational Journey” a monthly, three-hour Meditation and Mindfulness Exploration for Washington Metro Area CEOs now in its sixth year. Steve has completed “The Looking Glass” program at The Center for Creative leadership, and he has a degree in Philosophy from Yale University. He also has a passionate belief in nature’s ability to teach us about self-correcting, perspective and balance, and he serves as Chairman of the Maryland/DC Chapter of The Nature Conservancy. His wife Joslyn is a licensed therapist who specializes in mindful-based cognitive therapies.
